Google Account Permissions Vault Sweep requests the following Google permissions solely to perform storage cleanup:

gmail.readonly — Used to scan your inbox for large attachments and storage-wasting emails. Vault Sweep reads only the metadata and headers needed to identify these emails. Email body content is never read or stored.

gmail.modify — Used to move selected emails to Trash after you explicitly approve each deletion. Nothing is deleted without your review and confirmation.
